About us

The first gin ran from our distillery in 2012, when Eva and I were still working full-time for a small winery in Mallorca. Three years earlier, we distilled Mallorcas first Gin for a company in the north of the island.

We were overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and interest in our debut gin. The initial idea quickly turned into concrete plans and the Gin Eva distillery was born. It was to be another 4 years before we fully focused on the gin and quit our permanent position at the winery.

We enjoy concentrating on distilling spirits. In addition to our classic Gin Eva with the red label, we created other special editions. The first edition of our olive gin, “La Mallorquina”, won first place at the World Gin Awards in London in 2019 as World’s Best Signature Botanical Gin. At the same time, the red label was voted the best gin in Spain.

In our small garage, surrounded by a junkyard and a cement factory, things were getting tighter and tighter. The next big step was pending and now, more than 10 years later, we have found a partner with a lot of entrepreneurial know-how in Ulrich Spindler.

At the beginning of 2022 we moved into a new facility, still in the commercial area of Llucmajor, where we feel at home. That’s why we call our distillery “Casa Eva”. Our doors are always open and we look forward to your visit.
